What is behind the minimal shoe concept?

The concept is simple and ingenious. The minimal shoe is there to protect the foot from the ground. It lets the foot work naturally and does not restrict it in its activities.

Sole:

The thin outsole makes you feel like you're walking barefoot. It lets you feel the underground and perceive it consciously. The foot contains many sensors that communicate with the brain. That's why it's important that it can perceive the underground.

The elimination of the thick, soft midsoles, which normally act as cushioning, stimulates the foot to do its natural job - cushioning. The contraction of the foot muscles makes the muscle grow and a strong "foundation" for the rest of the body can be created.

Toe area:

The wide toe area gives you a feeling of freedom, as the toes are no longer constricted as in conventional shoes. The toes can spread apart, allowing your foot to form a larger, more stable support. Balance is improved, which gives you additional security when rolling.

Zero drop:

The difference in height between the forefoot and the heel is known as Zero-Drop. Conventional shoes usually raises the heel unnaturally. Minimal shoes have the same height in the heel as in the forefoot. The pelvis returns to its natural position and the spine is not curved disproportionately. Back problems and hip problems can thus be prevented.

Who are minimal shoes made for?

Minimal shoes are not made for a specific target group. Not only for sports, but also for leisure you can use them to strengthen your feet and the whole body. The sandals are a great addition to your training, because you also train your feet while walking and you can thus build a good foundation. Because only over a strong foundation can follow a healthy body.

Sport in minimal shoes?

Yes it works, but there are some things you should be aware of. Your whole locomotor system is adjusted to the geometry of conventional shoes. The transition to minimal shoes should therefore take place step by step. Basically, no fixed rule can be established, since everyone has individual requirements. We recommend that you wear the shoes for the first time during normal walking and to integrate them slowly and consciously into the sport.

Especially in training, many advantages can be seen, because your foot muscles are trained more effectively. The principle is simple and effective: The less support your feet get, the more they have to cope with themselves.

How do minimal shoes affect my body?

The foot is the foundation for your body. Conventional shoes are based on fashionable - and aesthetic approaches of shoe designers. They should make a visually "beautiful", slim foot. This intervention (heel lift, crushing the toes, supporting the arch of the foot, etc.) changes the entire foot. This is reflected in the entire musculoskeletal system and the body is brought out of its natural balance axis. In order to remain in balance, the body has to counteract or create a counterweight. This results in disharmonious movements in the joints, unnatural curvatures in the spine and tension in the entire musculature.

This can be counteracted by minimal shoes, because it comes very close to walking barefoot. The wide or open toe area does not restrict your foot in any way. Your toes can move freely and provide more standing surface, which ensures better balance. The more stable foot also has a positive effect on your entire body during the course of movement. Unharmonious sideways movement, which has a long-term negative effect on your joints, can be eliminated.

What advantages does Earthing have?

What advantages does Earthing have?

Earthing has shown in several scientific studies that it is successful in fighting free radicals in our body. Free radicals can have a negative effect when there is an imbalance because they deprive molecules (e.g. components of cells or DNA) of their electrons. By grounding, electrons can flow into the body and create a balance.

A positive performance has a scientifically proven effect through the following factors:

  • Improving blood flow by reducing blood viscosity

  • Reduction of internal inflammation

Who makes my shoes?

Who makes my shoes?

We attach great importance to regionality in our production. More than 90% of the added value takes place regionally in Vorarlberg. Preliminary work such as the pressing of the sole plate and the cutting to length of the strips is carried out in-house. The cutting of the sole, the sewing of the strap band and the final production is realized with regional companies. Even small parts like the hook buckles were designed especially for the sandal and are manufactured by our partner in the immediate vicinity. Afterwards the quality control and the packaging takes place at our company. Afterwards the shoe can be on its way to you.
